Catcher Endy Rodriguez’s season is over after he had surgery for a torn labrum in his left hip yesterday in Nashville. He played only 45 games for the Bucs this season, hitting .267 with seven homers and twenty RBIs. He has suffered major injuries in recent seasons, missing all of 2024 with Tommy John surgery, playing only eighteen games last year because of a hand laceration and elbow inflammation, and he missed another fifteen games with a glute strain last month before suffering the hip injury, which brings another premature end to a baseball season for the talented ballplayer.
Rodriguez will be able to resume baseball activities in seven to nine months, meaning he will likely miss the start of next season.
