Altoona took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a Murf Gray sacrifice fly, but Erie scored six times off Peyton Stumbo in the second inning on their way to an 8-3 win over the Curve at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Saturday night.
After winning the first three games of the series, the Curve have lost the last two, and will go for the series win tonight. Matt Ager will start on the mound for the Curve and will get some help from Konnor Griffin after the Pirates announced yesterday that Griffin will begin his rehab from a broken bone in his hand in Altoona.
