Tuesday night, Homer City Borough Council approved putting up new signs on some borough roads.
Council approved the addition of “No Commercial Vehicle” signs for both Lincoln and Church Streets, which have seen increased commercial traffic, likely due to the project at the former site of the Homer City Generating Station.
Council member Cal Cecconi explains the issue further.
Cecconi says that those signs should be printed and put up within a month.
Council also approved setting a date for a public hearing concerning the amending of the current zoning ordinance. That date is expected to be announced at their next meeting.
