Jennifer Rairigh has announced she is stepping down as the executive director of the Chevy Chase Community Center.
Rairigh was named the interim executive director after former director Brandi Ports stepped down in the wake of a fatal shooting at the center in October of 2023. She was named to the post full-time in October of 2024.
In a statement on their Facebook Page, Chevy Chase officials called her instrumental in “moving the center forward efficiently and effectively” and implemented changes that helped many people in need in Indiana County. They thanked her for her “countless hours of hard work, dedication and accomplishments which have made our Indiana County community a stronger and more compassionate place to live.”
Rairigh said that she will miss meeting the people that the community center helped.
Officials say that even though she is stepping away from the day-to-day leadership, she will continue to help as a member of the board of directors.
