Two men from outside the state are charged in connection with incidents during IUP Homecoming weekend.
Indiana Borough Police say 19-year-old Anthony Alberty and 53-year-old Brian Alberty face charges for a series of incidents on the evening of October 9th. The first incident was a noise complaint at 9:59 PM at a location in the 400 block of South 6th Street. Investigators said that Anthony was in violation of the noise ordinance and was seen drinking alcoholic beverages. He was given non-traffic citations for noise and underage drinking. Officers would be called back at 10:34 as he was still intoxicated, but was harassing neighbors and engaging in disorderly conduct. On the second trip, he was taken into custody and charged with harassment, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
During the second incident, Brian drove to the scene and officers saw that he was drunk as well. He was taken into custody and charged with DUI and a summary traffic-related crime.
Bail was set for Brian at $5,000. Hearings for Anthony have not been held yet.
