Indiana County 911 reported three vehicle crashes on Thursday.
The first was at 3:26 in the afternoon on Oakland Avenue in White Township. It was initially reported as a vehicle-pedestrian incident in the Aldi parking lot. Indiana Fire officials said it was a low-speed incident and while a pedestrian was knocked to the ground, there were no serious injuries. The department’s response was cancelled en route.
Another crash was reported yesterday on Route 22 in Burrell Township at 3:56 PM. Black Lick and Blairsville fire departments were sent to the scene at the time. Fire companies say that the vehicles involved were a car and an E-Bike near the entrance to Burger King. The E-bike rider was taken to the hospital by Citizens for treatment of unknown injuries. Those companies would be sent out about two and a half hours later to the third crash, this time on Route 286 West in Black Lick Township. They would be joined by Aultman fire department on that call. Details on these crashes have not been released but we know that Blairsville and Black Lick were cancelled while they were on the way there.
On top of that, Indiana Fire Association was sent out for a brush fire call at 3:28 PM on Route 422 East in White Township. It turned out to be a controlled burn.
There was also a car fire at 4:17 this morning along Route 422 West near Poulos Road in Armstrong Township. Indiana firefighters and state police were sent to the scene of that incident. Route 422 was closed temporarily this morning as crews worked quickly to bring the fire under control. No injuries were reported.
