IUP has once again been selected for the Princeton Review’s 2027 list of best colleges in the Mid-Atlantic region.
The recognition focuses on schools judged by editors of the list as “academically outstanding” for the past several years. Earlier in the year, IUP was placed in the 2026 overall listing based on student surveys, an honor that IUP has kept for over 20 years. Responses to the surveys recognized IUP’s “highly personal attention and support” through its mentoring program along with the faculty and staff who aim to help the students succeed in the classroom and elsewhere. Students also highlighted the small class sizes, extensive academic and wellness resources and programs focused on leadership and “soft skills” as positives for the survey.
In total, 630 institutions were recognized across seven regions.
