Gladys A. Visnesky, 95, of Brush Valley, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.
A daughter of the late Forest Paul and Clara Frances Underwood Adams, she was born April 10, 1924, in Brush Valley.
Mrs. Visnesky was a graduate of Brush Valley High School and received a business degree from Cambria Rowe. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Brush Valley. Mrs. Visnesky had worked various jobs, including S&T Bank, Waxler’s, Riverside, Brush Valley Grade School, and J.S. Mack. She was a member of the Brush Valley Grange and volunteered at Brush Valley Fire Department dinners. Mrs. Visnesky enjoyed her cats and dogs, collecting dolls, sewing, quilting, embroidering, baking and cooking.
She is survived by five children: Joseph P. Visnesky, Jr., of Brush Valley; Mary Frances Visnesky Orner and husband Glenn, of Brush Valley; Robert A. Visnesky and wife Rita C., of Clyde; Michael L. Visnesky and wife Ludmila, of Indiana; Lori C. Visnesky and Eric Ewing, of Brush Valley; 11 grandchildren: 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph E. Visnesky, Sr.; an infant daughter, Sherry Lynn Visnesky; a brother, Charles Lloyd Adams and a sister, Marilla Alsop.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Robinson-Lytle, Inc. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary United Methodist Church in Brush Valley, with Pastor Kimberly Betz officiating. Interment will be in Brush Valley Lutheran Chapel Cemetery.
