Saltsburg Pharmacy has become one of the first locally-owned pharmacies to start offering Covid-19 vaccinations to their customers.
Lisa Fisanich, pharmacy manager said that the pharmacy was able to get a hold of 300 doses of Covid-19, but they have already been promised to those who have signed up on their waiting list. But as long as they continue to get vaccines, they will continue to help those on their waiting list.
Fisanich said that Saltsburg Pharmacy had to sign up as a vaccine distributor with the PA Department of Health and place an order for how many vaccines they could distribute in a week. She added that they received the first full order, but they were warned that the order could be partially filled or not filled at all depending on the state’s supply of Covid-19 vaccines. Those who receive the first round of vaccines will be prioritized to receive their second round of vaccines when the four-week wait ends.
Fisanich anticipates another shipment of doses to arrive between 10-14 days. Those who want to be put on their list can call 724-639-6022.
