O. Ruth Pears, 89, of Heritage Village Rehab and Skilled Nursing, Gerry, NY, formerly of Indiana, PA, passed away Thursday, (Sept. 12, 2019) at the home.
She was born December 6, 1929 in New Castle, PA, the daughter of Richard and Erma Pinney Owrey.
Ruth had been employed at Christian Book and Gift.
She had been a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.
She had enjoyed volunteering at the Indiana Regional Medical Center as well as crocheting, sewing and baking.
Ruth is survived by two daughters: Lea Donahue of Indiana, PA and Susan tenPas of Ellington, NY; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and was looking forward to her eleventh great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband Harold Pears, a son, Edward Pears, and a daughter Lynn Pears Canose.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Christian and Missionary Church, 2510 Warren Rd., Indiana.
The family will receive friends starting at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the church.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
