Men from Clymer and Pittsburgh were indicted by a federal grand jury in Johnstown earlier this week for violating federal narcotics laws.
On Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Eric G. Olshan announced that the three-count indictment named 23-year-old Wyatt Patterson of Clymer and 50-year-old Carlos Harris of Pittsburgh. On March 18th of 2022, the two allegedly were in possession of over 50 grams of meth, along with fentanyl, cocaine and crack with the intent to distribute. Also, Harris was found to be in possession of more cocaine, fentanyl and meth three days later.
An indictment is an accusation, and the two are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The law provides for a maximum total sentence of life in prison, a fine of $10 million or both. The actual sentence would be based on past criminal history and the seriousness of the offense.
