Andrew “Andy” John Arblaster, 71, of Indiana, passed away on Thursday,
Dec. 7, 2023, with his loving wife by his side.
The son of the late John William and Martha (Ewig) Arblaster, Andy was born
Feb. 17, 1952, in Greensburg.
Andy was a graduate of Franklin Regional High School, Class of 1970 and
continued his education at IUP as an Art Major. After 25 years in a managerial
position at the local Montgomery Wards department store, Andy was later
employed by La-Z Boy Galleries of Monroeville, followed by a position as a
customer service representative for Conduent, Inc.
Mr. Arblaster was a faithful member, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, and Elder
of Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Indiana for many years.
Andy had an “off the wall” sense of humor and always got a chuckle out of you.
He enjoyed car shows, loved trains, golfing, solving crossword puzzles and
camping at Cook’s Forest at the Forrest Cathedral. Andy was an avid reader –
reading a book a day, but his pride and joy was his grandson, Landon.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Teresa A. (Peles) Arblaster whom he married on
August 3, 1974; son Paul A. Arblaster (Jill) of Saxonburg; a grandson, Landon;
and a brother, Stephen (Sally) Arblaster of Greensburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, Jan. 14th, 2024, from 2 p.m. until the
time of the funeral service at 3 p.m. at Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church,
640 Church Street, Indiana, with Pastor Rob Sparr officiating. Robinson-Lytle-Shoemaker Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
