Bellock-Ronald Paul “Sam,” 75, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 29, 2024, at his home. Born April 8, 1949, in Indiana PA., Ronald was the son of Edward and Anne (Fabina) Bellock.
Ronald graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania on August 19, 1973, where he earned his degree, a Bachelor of Science in Education. He was very active in the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity, where he made many lifelong friends, staying in contact with them regularly over the many years.
He was a gifted athlete, and enjoyed many sports. Jogging and running were two of his favorite “hobbies.” He also enjoyed competing in marathons, as often as he could. When not enjoying the outdoors, he would often be seen at his local gym working out and mingling with the members.
Ronald was a faithful member of St. Anne Church in Ruskin, FL. He made many friends at his church home, and always arrived an hour early before every service began. There was not a week that went by, that he didn’t have a gift for a church member, whether it was for a family, their children, the priest, or for an individual in need.
He retired from the Hillsborough County School District, where he was employed for many years.
Ronald is survived by his brother, Edward (Linda) Bellock, of Roaring Springs, PA; Frederick (Gayle) Bellock, of Fleming Island, FL, and Kenneth (Janice) Bellock, of Cleveland, TN. He will be missed by his nieces and nephew: Kristina Bellock, Courtney Williams, Julienne Bellock, Kenny Bellock, Margie Smith, and Erin Lynn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Thomas Bellock.
The family would like to thank his many friends through out the years for their love and support for Ronald. A special thanks to his doctors, nurses, and Hospice for their professional. and loving car.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 31 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Church, Indiana. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
